End the Bible Famine in Ethiopia
Two years ago, we shared thousands of Bibles in Ethiopia, and believers quickly snatched them up. One Ethiopian pastor shared how in just one year, his church grew from 200 to 800 people—all because of the Bibles that we had shared with them. Like food for starving people, Bibles had brought new life to the community. People had read God’s Word and shared the gospel message of Jesus Christ with those around them.
The Bibles we shared made a huge impact, but they weren’t nearly enough. The Bible famine in Ethiopia is not over. Today, 5 out of 6 people in Ethiopian churches still do not have a copy of God’s Word.
This Christmas, you can help end the Bible famine.
The vast majority of Christians who speak Oromo—the language spoken by the majority of Ethiopia—still do not have a Bible. Thousands upon thousands of Christians go to church every week without God’s Word—some of them pastors!
These people cling to God. He is their everything! But they need Bibles so they can study God’s Word, share the gospel, train evangelists and transform their communities. Together this Christmas, let’s end the Bible famine in Ethiopia.
