Angie wanted what they had. She had noticed a group of people walking around her neighbourhood in Skid Row. They looked very out of place, walking amongst her homeless friends. Something else made them stand out, though. They were handing out Bibles. She approached Andrew, a Regional Manager with ShareWord Global, gathered her courage and she asked for a copy of Scripture.
She needed what they had. Angie shared with Andrew that she struggled with an all-consuming drug addiction. She didn’t know how to quit, despite nearly dying from a recent overdose. So, Andrew did the only thing he knew to do. He shared his own story, and how God had come to his rescue. But more than that, he shared how Christ could come to her rescue, too.
Angie began to cry when she heard this. "I'll try better, I'll try better," she told him. She wanted to be changed from the inside out. There in the middle of the homeless community, Angie prayed for Jesus to be the Lord of her life.
