A New Beginning for Evgenia
A New Beginning for Evgenia

Whether you are able to recall the day you were baptized, an infant held in your mother's arms, or maybe you are currently exploring the idea—when a child of Christ is brought into the family, it's completely transformational. Baptism is the moment God reaches down and marks someone as His own. It is a symbol of His gigantic heart for His people. And the emotions are often indescribable.

August 7, 2020, was a special date for 20-year-old Evgenia from Russia. It was the day she publicly declared this baptismal covenant with the Lord.

But the decision was not an easy one for Evgenia to make. At times, she felt uncertain about taking such a huge step of faith. After learning about Jesus' sacrifice while attending a young adult retreat camp and pouring into the Scriptures she received there, Evgenia is now confident in her decision to follow Christ. She trusts her faithful Saviour and is ready to fight all temptations that stand in her way. She knows victory awaits her!A New Beginning for Evgenia

Her baptism left an unforgettable impression on Evgenia’s heart. She shared, “During the year, I have had to overcome a lot of difficulties that taught me to trust God. As I was immersed in the water, I experienced indescribable sensations that I had never experienced… feelings of lightness reigned in my soul, and my heart seemed to heal. This is the beginning of a new life with Christ. I have become softer, more courageous, and happier.
