Acerca de la campaña

My name is Shana Siby Abraham, and I am thrilled to be participating in a Gospel Outreach (“GO”) Trip to Kenya with ShareWord Global.

Our goal is simple yet profound: to share the hope of the gospel to every corner of the world. We do that by mobilizing local churches—our brothers and sisters in the faith—to join us in sharing the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ with Scripture, to the people around them. We empower local churches through training, resources, outreach opportunities and a community of like-minded evangelists to support and encourage them.

As I prepare for this incredible journey, I am humbled by the opportunity to be an instrument of change and a vessel of God's love. Together, we can make an eternal impact, touching hearts and transforming lives through the love of God.

Thank you for joining me in this journey of faith and outreach, and please consider contributing to this mission that is so close to my heart.

My Story: Raised by parents who converted from Orthodox Christian backgrounds, I've had the privilege of knowing Jesus my entire life. I have lavishly experienced the riches of Christ's love and mercy throughout the last two decades. Life has had its many ups and downs that impacted my faith journey: the loneliness and rejection I experienced as a newcomer to Canada when I was a child, the church hurt and false teachings that led me away from Christ, dark periods of depression and deep longing for community. Everything changed when I started attending a Bible-believing church that preached and lived out the true gospel two years ago. During this time, God has been placing a greater burden on my heart to reach the poor, not just in their physical needs, but also in their spiritual needs. God transformed my understanding of salvation, solidified my purpose and identity in Him all through the faithful Christians I encountered. He changed my life and brought me into immense peace and rest as I experienced his grace through the testimonies and encouragement of others. When I attended The Missions Course through my church, I felt the Lord coaxing and challenging me, asking if I would be willing to do the same for others. I heard the stories of those who went before us and how many of those barriers they experienced in their time, no longer exist for us today. It tested my heart and wrestled for my attention for many days after. I began to consider for the first time in my life, what my role truly was in the Great Commission. As I began seeing missions opportunities, I prayed and spoke with church staff to find the right one. This mission trip to Kenya feels like the next step in my calling for so many reasons. One is that the Lord put this country on my heart when I was a teenager, after researching about the slums and the physical poverty many experienced. But even before that, God had called my attention towards the needs in Africa, as a young child learning through my parents about various missionaries and their work in places like Kenya. Christ calls us to reach such as these. In Luke 4:16-19, Jesus reads from the scroll of Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.” As I began to ask myself if I was ready for missions, I questioned whether I was good enough for this. But the Lord taught me that no one is and I realized, this was the whole point! The very reason I needed Christ, why I must go and the urgency to whom I must share the Good News with. I realized my comfort and my pride was well worth the sacrifice for such a purpose as this. While I do not feel qualified, I am grateful that Christ would still find me worthy of being used for His glory. I have decided to go forth with this as my heart - to humble myself and trust the Lord in what He would have me do. I am going on this mission trip firstly to glorify Christ but also to edify my own faith and share about the grace that set me free. Romans 10:13-15 tells us… “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Would you partner with me and send me with your blessing to the people of Kenya so that they may believe and turn their hearts to one whom they have heard of? Partake in the Great Commission with me as I go and you faithfully send me. I will venture to go... but remember that you must hold the ropes. - William Carey

Your support not only helps me but also contributes to a greater mission that transcends borders and unites us in our common purpose—spreading the Gospel and changing lives. Together, we can tell the world.
