Hey there! I'm Hazel Winger, and I am so excited to be part of this amazing Gospel Outreach (“GO”) Trip to Nicaragua with ShareWord Global.

So, here's the deal: our goal is to share the hope of the gospel with people all around the globe. We do that by linking up with local churches and mobilizing our brothers and sisters in the faith to go out into their communities and bring the gospel, with Scripture, to the people in their neighbourhoods.

As I gear up for this amazing adventure, I'm just blown away by the chance to be a part of something bigger and to spread God's love. Together, we're going to make a huge impact, touching hearts, and changing lives through His love.

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be preparing for a mission trip with ShareWord Global, I never would have believed you. I grew up around Christianity, but there came a time when I walked away from God and tried to find purpose, identity, and peace on my own.

The farther I drifted from Christ, the more broken my life became. Addiction, homelessness, broken relationships, and hopelessness became my reality. I believed I had gone too far—that my mistakes had defined me and that there was no way back. But Jesus had never stopped pursuing me. When I look back now, I can see God’s hand over my life even when I couldn’t see it myself. His mercy carried me through my darkest seasons, and in His perfect timing, He called me back to Himself.

When I surrendered my life to Christ, everything changed. He didn’t just help me rebuild my life—He gave me a new one. While I am still growing every day, my identity is no longer found in my past but in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Since joining the ShareWord Global office team in February, God has continued to transform my heart. Every day I have the privilege of seeing lives impacted by His Word and serving alongside people who are passionate about making Jesus known. Working here has strengthened my faith, deepened my love for Scripture, and reminded me that God can use anyone who is willing to say yes to Him.

Now, next month, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Nicaragua with ShareWord Global. I don’t see this as just a mission trip—I see it as another chapter in the redemption story that God has been writing in my life. The same God who rescued me from addiction and hopelessness is now sending me to share the hope that changed everything for me. I know what it feels like to believe you’re too far gone. Because of that, my prayer is that the people we meet would encounter the same Jesus who rescued me—the One who forgives, restores, and makes all things new.
