En Christ Revealed to Adolfo
God is our only true comfort, the place we confide when all else seems hopeless. This is how one Peruvian man discovered contentment in Christ after suffering months of physical, mental and spiritual turmoil.
Juan Carlos approached Adolfo, who was lying in a lonely hospital bed. He handed the man an Esperanza magazine.
At first, Adolfo’s shoulders were tense; he felt anxious as Juan Carlos placed his hands on him. “God loves you and has not abandoned you,” Juan Carlos prayed. As Adolfo listened intently to these words, he began to cry. For years, he had felt completely alone. Every day, he had promised to seek God, and asked the Lord to reveal Himself in that hospital room.
Now he knew Jesus had heard his cry for help. The Holy Spirit was there—both men could feel His omnipotent presence.
Adolfo urged Juan Carlos to remain for a while. “I just feel so much peace,” he expressed.
