About Mozambique
Mozambique has a variety of Christian groups involved in the nation, but traditionally the Catholic Church has been the most influential and continues to have a long-standing presence and significant following.
But Mozambique also struggles with physical barriers as well as spiritual. Unreached people groups are often found in remote rural areas and have limited access to Christian resources and Scripture materials. The need for Scriptures and training resources in Mozambique is significant. Many areas lack access to Bibles, Christian literature, and discipleship materials in their local languages. Providing these resources will empower individuals and communities in their spiritual growth and understanding of the gospel.
Mozambique presents an exciting opportunity. Its religious diversity, presence of unreached people groups, need for Bibles and discipleship resources, and the effectiveness of the church make it a compelling destination for those passionate about sharing the love of Christ.
Our Work
Our work launched in Mozambique in June of 2024, and it was an immediate success! Partnerships have been formed with churches in the region of Maputo and Inhambane where local pastors are excited about the opportunity to share the gospel.
Unfortunately, a national crisis took place in October of 2024 following local elections, leaving the country on the verge of a civil war.
Because of that upcoming work has been delayed in Mozambique until 2026. In the mean time we continue to supply resources to local pastors and train them virtually using Grid training.
