Mozambique is one of Africa’s poorest nations and has some of the biggest needs that only the gospel can repair.

While the nation has a beautiful and rich culture, Mozambique has a deep need for the hope that is found in Christ. Less than half of the population identifies as a Christian, but the beliefs are mixed with local spiritualities.

Mozambique is one of the poorest, and most underdeveloped countries in the world. It is the 5th poorest country in all of Africa.

While Portuguese is the country’s official language, it’s only spoken by half of the population. Other main languages are: Makhuwa, Changana, Nyanja, Ndau, Sena, Chwabo, and Tswa.
