About the campaign
Hi! I'm Elissa Falcão, and I've been preparing to embark on a missionary trip to Mozambique on June 7 (my birthday). I was born and raised in a Christian home in the east of Minas Gerais, Brazil and, today, I live in South Africa.
My history with missions began when I was still a teenager. I have always had the desire to know stories and full interest in the person's experience. I took some courses on urban missions because, at the time the city where I lived was a "record" of suicides in Minas Gerais, and it bothered me in such a way, that practically every weekend I went to the city centre with my friends, to approach some people and talk to them. The missionary trips I made were with the group of young people and teenagers from the church itself, always in Minas Gerais. A milestone in my history was when I was in the centre and I approached a homeless person, we stayed there for about 40 minutes talking, and he told me that I was born to deal with people. It was high school time, but I still didn't know what to do.
A few months later, I received a 16-year-old trip as a gift, and it was dealing with another culture that made me realize that I should invest in something that could be useful wherever I went. It was on this trip that I decided to study Psychology. Today I am a graduate, I work as a clinical psychologist (for Brazilians, online) and postgraduate course in Logotherapy, a very interesting approach that seeks to understand human motivation and the meaning of life, having these as primordial for the human being to live life in the best way.
I know that through the gospel, we can reach and impact countless lives wherever we go. In this way, your financial contribution and support in prayers helps me in the mission of spreading the greatest love in the world: from God, our dear Father. This is the greatest wish of my heart!
I thank you and intercede for each one who mobilizes for the cause of the gospel!
