Karin sat in a cemetery on warm Sunday afternoon in Santiago Chile. 

Filled with despair, she sat thinking about her life. She wondered why her business was failing—why feelings of depression felt like they were filling her entire body. She felt worthless. And as she sat there, thinking about her life, panic began to fill her body. 

She would never have expected that that afternoon would change everything. 

But as she sat there, in the cemetery, feeling the lowest she had ever felt, God sent someone with a message of hope. 

A young woman who was part of a ShareWord outreach event approached her with an Esperanza (Hope) magazine. 

As this young woman began to share her testimony, Karin’s heart opened, and she began to cry. The young woman called her pastor over and together the three of them prayed. 

From that moment on Karin’s life was changed. 

She accepted Jesus as Lord of her life and began to attend their church. 

Now, six months later, Karin still has struggles, but she knows that she is not worthless. She has discovered the value she has in the eyes of her Eternal Father and found hope in His Word. 

And she can’t keep that hope to herself! 

Since that day her life has changed, and the people around her are taking notice. Her two daughters, her son-in-law, and her best friend have all been so inspired by her testimony that they also made the decision to follow Jesus!
